Leoš Janáček (1854-1928) | Sonata 1.X.1905
Franz Liszt (1811-1886) | Ballade No. 2 in B minor
Xavier Montsalvatge (1912-2002) | Ballade for the Left Hand

The eureka of Revealed Ballades came from the design of a concert programme, which explored the sonata and the ballade forms. The concert began with the master of the sonata: Beethoven, followed by the expert of the ballade: Chopin. The second half was nourished with the less known sonata by Janáček and two undiscovered ballades by Debussy and Montsalvatge. The concert ended with Liszt’s second ballade.
