Listen onThe eureka of Revealed Ballades came from the design of a concert programme, which explored the sonata and the ballade forms. The concert began with the master of the sonata: Beethoven, followed by the expert of the ballade: Chopin. The second half was nourished with the less known sonata by Janáček and two undiscovered ballades by Debussy and Montsalvatge. The concert ended with Liszt’s second ballade.
